Access Audits

an image of rows upon rows if white plastic figures with a bright purple one in the middle with it's hands waving.Where organisations are seeking National Lottery funds to support building development, then access is the FIRST consideration they must address. Under the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act all employers are expected to make ‘reasonable adjustments’ to make their buildings accessible to Disabled People. There is also a requirement for those offering a service (shops etc.) to also make these reasonable adjustments. This has been mandatory since October 2004.

Full Circle Arts 'Access Audit Service' takes account of the access needs of Disabled People by all types of impairment: Locomotion, reaching, stretching, dexterity, seeing, hearing, personal care, continence, communication and intellectual functioning.

We always meet with you the client to discuss your exact needs and circumstances. Our audits usually cover the following areas:

attitudes; training; policies; marketing; publicity/printed material; physical access; decoration; fire escape/evacuation; sanitary facilities; wayfinding; communications equipment; refreshment/recreation facilities

We work closely with our clients, their architects and designers to ensure that access is fully integrated into the total design. We have experience of conducting access audits for small schemes and partial refurbishments to large scale new build schemes. If your organisation needs help then look no further. Our consultation charges are very reasonable and we work to the highest professional standards. If you need to discuss your requirements, click the ‘contact us’ button at the bottom of the menu.
